Saqlain is the principal scientific officer of TestAVec and drives business development and laboratory research activities. He is also an academic at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.

 

He graduated with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from Brunel University London where his passion for gene therapy and improving the safety of vectors was ignited. He  completed his doctoral studies under Michael Themis, working on developing the LV hInGeTox model.

 

He has presented widely at conferences to acclaim. He also completed a Innovate UK funded grant on assessing the efficiency of various treatments against the virus that causes COVID-19.

 

Having significant contributions to the various research and business projects, Saqlain has experience in a wide range of laboratory and managerial skills to drive both the research and commercial aspects for TestAVec forward.
